London City Airport is a small international airport with a private jet centre situated in the Royal Docks beside the River Thames. While the airport is only about six miles east of the City and three miles away from Canary Wharf – both centres of London’s financial industry – it has its restrictions; namely it has a short runway, it has limited stands/parking, and it requires steep approach training.

Drive times from London City Airport to the West End can take up to one hour at certain times of the day.

At Advectus Executive Chauffeur, we use live tracking to keep an eye on flight arrival times so that we are waiting to meet and greet clients when they arrive. For business/private jet passengers, we allow 30 minutes’ waiting time from the moment the aircraft lands, and one hour for the jet’s crew, after which charges are per 15 minutes. For commercial passengers, there are no charges for one hour from the aircraft arriving on stand. Parking charges apply at London City Airport for passengers arriving/departing on commercial flights, but not for passengers and crews transiting the Private Jet Centre.
